about

I find stories and create documentaries about research, agriculture, conservation, history, culture and community. My intent is to foster meaningful connections between seemingly disparate communities through visual media and storytelling in ways that are engaging and impactful.

My documentary work has supported numerous international environmental and humanitarian research initiatives, alongside agricultural extension and outreach programmes for growers, educators and researchers, as well as the development of educational and training materials for academic institutions, judicial bodies, governments, law enforcement agencies and non-profit organisations. It is critical that my work has, when possible, a tangible and meaningful impact within the communities it represents.

My collaborators include:

Bee & Butterfly Habitat Fund • Great Lakes Water Resources Group • Ohio Environmental Council • Ohio EPA • Conservation Blueprint • Tribal Alliance for Pollinators • Michigan Human Trafficking Taskforce • Nicabeja Proyecto • USGS & the Northern Prairie Wildlife Research Center • m-Omulimisa Mobile Extension Services • Michigan College Access Network • Michigan Apple Committee • Farmer Input Promotions Africa • Uganda Wildlife Authority • Kibale Association for Rural and Environmental Development (KAFRED) • the Institute of Resource Assessment at the University of Dar es Salaam • Michigan State University’s Center for Regional Food Systems & Global Center for Food Systems Innovation • The Higher Education Solutions Network • Sexual Assault Crisis Intervention Program at Michigan State University • Pheasants Forever Nebraska • Heroes 2 Hives

I am the Global Projects Manager and Co-Founder of Creative Embers – a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit that produces interactive art and media designed to educate the public and inspire change within communities. Through fiscal sponsorships and micro grants, Creative Embers supports organizations and independent artists creating forms of artistic activism.
